Meet Maple: Maple is a 2 year old (as of March 2026) hound / Rhodesian mix (best guess) that weighs 50 pounds. Maple and her litter were picked up by animal control in Arkansas and taken to a (high kill) shelter. 4 of the puppies were quickly adopted, but mama and 3 remaining pups (Orion, Cosmo and Sirus) weren't immediately picked and found their way to the euthanasia list due to capacity issues. Our rescue heard about them and were able to step in and get them out of the shelter. Maple is being fostered in the south and would love to catch the next freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! Maple is a very sweet mama. Maple is good with people and other dogs. Maple has been a submissive lady and has a sweet personality. Maple is crate trainer and walks well on a leash. Maple is also house trained. We would love for Maple to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Maple is up to date on her shots and spayed. Maple tested heart worm positive and has already begun her treatments to be good as new!
