About Chaney

Meet Chaney! Chaney is a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix weighing around 40 pounds, packed full of personality, love, and enthusiasm for life. This sweet girl absolutely adores her people and will happily lean her whole body into you for pets and affection—she’s the ultimate cuddle companion with a playful twist! Chaney is a bit of a “wild child” in the best way—she’s exuberant, energetic, and always ready for fun. Whether it’s playtime, zoomies, or soaking up attention, she brings joy and excitement wherever she goes. Beneath her high-energy nature, she has a truly sweet and loving heart that shines through in every interaction. She is housetrained and crate trained, and she has previously lived with another dog. Chaney can be a bit of a chewer, so she’ll benefit from appropriate toys and continued guidance to help her make good choices. Chaney is still working on her manners and would thrive with a family committed to continued training and structure. She’s eager to learn and, with consistency and patience, will blossom into an amazing companion. Because of her excitable nature, she may do best in a home that can give her plenty of exercise and positive outlets for her energy. Special Note: Chaney requires a chicken-free diet due to her allergies. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate dog who will keep you smiling and shower you with love (and full-body leans!), Chaney might just be your perfect match. Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! *** • All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots. • We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
