About Moey

7-year-old Moey was adopted from Riverside Shelter as a tiny puppy and was brought back as a senior when his elderly owner had to move into an assisted living facility. We welcomed Moey as a Frosted Face on March 24th. He is SO sweet, gentle, and loving. When you sit down with Moey, he sprawls out across your lap for pets and belly rubs. He knows SIT, SHAKE, and DOWN. He rides calmly in the car and lays down in the backseat. Be sure to watch his adorable videos! Moey went on a two-week Frosted Fling with one of our wonderful volunteers to spend time in a home while he recovered from surgery to remove masses. He is such a special boy that he is staying put while he waits for his forever family. His foster mom shares: "Moey is a true gentle giant and a gentleman. He's a quiet boy but man, he does have a voice and uses it appropriately! Video shows him "protecting" my 5 lb. dog and me from the pest control guy. I wish I had had my phone in hand and was ready to record when he first became aware that there was someone "lurking" around ... the person on the outside would think there's a "killer" in the house! lol I also wish I had had my camera handy when we stepped outside the other da,y and my neighbor's very relaxed cat was lounging on my front stoop. My dog was totally oblivious. Moey didn't see him at first but when he did his tail was between his legs! He honestly was frozen and in fear. So funny! Moey is so easy. He is an expert couch potato, snuggler, comforter, listener ... he is such wonderful company. He is a quiet, loving companion ... I can only imagine how heartbreaking it was for both Moey and his elderly owner when he was returned to the shelter from where he was adopted as a puppy. Moey is a true best friend." Moey would love a quiet home with cushy beds and no steps where he will be a cherished member of the family. Could it be with you?
