Luna entered Bonita Shelter as a stray at the end of February, and unfortunately, she wasn't reclaimed or adopted in the next two months. In advocating for her rescue, shelter staff shared the following notes: "Luna has been an easy dog to handle and walks well on leash. She has been introduced to other dogs in our care and has done well. She did go on a weekend foster, and her foster family said she is loving, affectionate dog who bonds strongly with her human. She enjoys physical closeness, gentle hugs, and gives soft kisses. She is polite, foodmotivated, and has good house manners. She had no accidents in the home and would hover near the door to signal she needed to go outside, showed no signs of separation anxiety, knows "sit," "stay," and "leave it." We welcomed Luna as a Frosted Face on May 8th, and she immediately went into a foster home. She is estimated to be 9 years old and weighs 57 lbs. After their first day together, her foster mom reports that Luna responds to her name, enjoys multiple walks throughout the day and several short sessions of fetch with her toys.
