About Bubba
Bubba Gimp is the classic Rottweiler with a big heart and a vigilant streak. He's loyal to his people and makes it his mission to keep them safe, even from squirrels, goats, or a stray leaf blowing by. Tennis balls are his obsession; he’ll chase, chew, and carry them around with goofy joy for hours. Bubba’s fully vaccinated, neutered, and both house and crate trained, though he’ll need patience as he settles into new routines—he’s had his share of upheaval. Life hasn’t been easy on Bubba. He’s already seen a lot in his four years, including losing a leg from a gunshot injury when he escaped his previous home and fighting through heartworm treatment. He’s bounced back as a happy, playful dog, but he’s still learning to trust, especially with men. He’ll warm up if given time, food, and patience—right now, his foster dad is his favorite person. Bubba is selective with other dogs and needs a meet and greet before sharing his house. He does not get along with cats. This is a dog looking for a steady home with someone willing to let him move at his own pace, let him figure things out, and never take his love for granted. Bubba is a Capricorn—determined and patient, just like his ideal adopter. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
