About Raven

Courtesy Posting only! Estimated date of birth: 11/13/2021 Gender: Female Breed: GSD Meet Raven! Raven is 4 years old, she was born on November 13th 2021. She is microchipped and spayed. She needs to have her vaccines updated, I will get that done before she goes to her new home. Raven is a beauty with a very sleek and shiny coat and tan legs. She is very full of life and energetic, very loving and playful. She has never shown aggression towards a human nor an animal; however she can be animal reactive. She loves to play, cuddle, be silly, and she gives the most gentle kisses. She is VERY particular about her paws; she just HAS to have love and attention on her paws. She will hold your hand and will require you to hold hers; mainly when she is laying down next to her owner. She is an indoor dog and potty trained. We take her every 6 hours; but she can hold it longer if necessary. Raven seems to be on the slim side for a GSD, only weighing about 56-60 lbs. She has no health problems or underlying health issues and her teeth are very well maintained by us. She is not a fan of baths or nail trims but patiently tolerates both. She LOVES to play and chase water out of a water hose when the weather’s nice, she also likes furry/plush dog toys and tends not to play with toys that aren’t plushies. Raven also loves dog treats, of course! She knows commands “leave it” and “shhh” she knows that means no or stop. She is leash trained but not great at it and will sometimes pull. I would like for potential adopters to know that Raven does have a few areas where she needs improvement. She can be animal reactive. Due to her being reactive, Raven will do best being the ONLY dog in the home. Raven once had an enclosure and during nice days she was outside and just loved being outside. However, she has never slept outside. She will be perfect for someone looking for a devoted, loyal, and loving dog to have in their home. In typical German shepherd behavior, she used to have severe anxiety but seemed to overcome it once we decided to keep her separated from our other dog. She really deserves to be able to freely roam in a home and enjoy quality time with her owner, unfortunately that isn’t currently possible having another dog in the home and Raven being reactive. We love Raven and really want to find her a suitable forever home. If you are interested in her please fill out an adoption application through Caring For Creatures.
