🐾🐾This big boy is Hercules His previous owner had him since he was a puppy. Due to unfortunate circumstances he was no longer able to care for Hercules. We tried to help his family all we could but sadly it just wasn't in the cards for Hercules. Hercules is 3 years old and although he weighs 86 pounds he was completely focused on commands leading to these pictures bringing out his softer, gentler side. Rebecca, a staff member has made it her mission to help Hercules be the best he can be. Her project since she's at her personal "dog limit" at home. Long walks with training stops in-between. Making Hercules focus on the task at hand and walk calmly, being in the moment. Fresh air and structure made for an enjoyable walk around the shelter property. Hercules dog tested nicely with 2 male dogs & 1 female today. He has not been cat tested yet, but unless you have a brave cat his size could easily intimidate a kitty... His owner shared that his parents were: a pure breed Bully and a pure breed Shepherd. We think he's got a beautiful smile that lights up a room.
