About Kiwi
Meet Kiwi, Radish’s adorable sister with the same striking black and gold coloring and those irresistibly short, squatty legs that give her a “mini Shepherd meets Basset” look. She’s just as unique as her brother, but with her own sweet and playful personality that makes her impossible not to love. Kiwi came to us from the Central Valley with her siblings after a very difficult start to life, having been found in a homeless encampment in Fresno. Despite that, she has shown incredible resilience and is already embracing her second chance. Kiwi is a wonderful mix of playful and affectionate. She’s social, curious, and enjoys exploring, but also has a softer, cuddly side where she just wants to be close to her people. She tends to be a touch more thoughtful than her brother, but still very friendly and engaging with both people and other dogs. She is about 10 weeks old and currently weighs around 12 pounds. We expect she will be approximately 30 pounds full grown. Like her siblings, she has adorable extra dewclaws, making her truly one of a kind. Kiwi is still a young puppy with no formal training. She will need a committed adopter who is ready to guide her through house training, crate training, socialization, and daily exercise. Puppies this age require time, patience, and should not be left alone for long periods. She would thrive in an active home with a yard and would benefit from having another dog to help continue building her confidence and teach her the routine of a happy, balanced home. She is already showing she is food motivated, which will make training both fun and rewarding. Now safe in the Bay Area, Kiwi is ready to leave her past behind and start her new life with a family who will give her the love, structure, and lifelong commitment she deserves.
