He was showing signs that he wasn’t fully comfortable, and we want to make sure his next home is one where he can truly relax, thrive, and be his happy, goofy self. Wilmer is a lovable, playful pup who truly believes he was put on this earth to love—and be loved right back. At 50 lbs, he’s a great medium-sized companion with the perfect balance of fun and cuddle power. He loves being part of whatever his humans are doing and will happily follow you from room to room, but he’s also wonderfully independent and content to snooze peacefully even when the doorbell rings or the Roomba is running nearby. Wilmer walks beautifully on leash, is fully potty trained, knows sit, down, stay, wait and gets along well with other dogs. He’s still refining his house manners and can be a little curious about countertops, so keeping food out of reach will help set him up for success. What makes Wilmer truly special is his balance of playful charm and affectionate personality. He’ll make you laugh, keep you company, and happily nap while you go about your day.
