Darlin’ is a survivor who took months to learn to trust again after being abandoned. Thanks to a patient volunteer, she slowly found her confidence and her new name—greeted each evening with a warm 'Hey Darlin!’ Now, she’s come into her own as a gentle, low-maintenance, and affectionate pit bull terrier. Once inside, Darlin immediately made herself comfortable, showing off her love for toys and settling in on the couch for belly rubs. She gets along well with dogs and is interested, but calm, around cats—just use standard care with introductions and supervision, especially in those first months. Food aggression isn’t an issue, and she patiently waits her turn at mealtimes. Darlin is house trained, adapts to busy households, and doesn’t mind guests, even at large gatherings. She knows basic commands like 'sit', 'wait', and 'off', and is motivated to learn when it makes her people happy. This is a dog who thrives with an active family that will involve her in daily life, but she’s also content to snuggle and relax during downtime.
