Zoey does not get along with cats or children, but she gets along well with other dogs. She's full of youthful energy and thrives in a structured household with plenty of activity and supervision.

About Zoey

Zoey had a last-minute rescue, giving birth to four puppies only days after landing in foster care. She’s still a youngster herself—high energy, playful, and always up for wrestling or zoomies with the resident foster dogs. Zoey loves roughhousing with pups that match her energy and, once she’s tired out, curling up in a cozy crate or right in your lap for a long nap. She has a gentle, affectionate side that shines when she trusts you; expect her to climb into your arms looking for a snuggle. Meeting new people can make Zoey uneasy at first, and she’s slow to warm up. A home without children is best—her stay around little ones did not go smoothly. Zoey’s also got a serious prey drive, so she shouldn’t live with cats or small animals. She’s smart but still learning; she tends to jump up and doesn’t reliably obey commands. Although house trained and generally quiet, Zoey becomes alert and barky when someone approaches the house, and she will try to escape if left alone and bored—no chain link fencing or unsupervised outside time. She can get destructive when under-stimulated, so her adopter needs to be patient, vigilant, and well-matched to her energy. Zoey gets along with other dogs, but needs proper introductions and a playmate who can keep up. With the right structure and understanding, she’ll reward you with loyalty and all the cuddles you can handle. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
