Coco spent most of her young years in a shelter in Tepotzotlan, MX with approximately 96 other rescue dogs. The shelter is currently closing and Turning Points Dog Ranch agreed to take Coco in their rescue program. She has been at Turning Points since March 1, 2026, where the staff has been able to get to know her love and preferences. Coco is an absolute love bug! She loves all the pets from all the people and will go up to strangers for pets and cuddles. She has met lots of dogs off leash and is friendly. However, she does have resource guarding with bones and toys. Staff can easily take away her unfinished meal, but we are working on "leave it" with toys and bones. She loves playing with toys, especially squeaky toys. She has been out on multiple walks on leash and doesn't pull, however will emit a low growl when on leash and another dog is near. Definitely needs training with this, and after trust is built and she knows her adopter will keep her safe, this will diminish.
