About Athena
What are you waiting for? Apply today! From forgotten to unforgettable... Meet Athena. Athena is a dog whose resilience and loving nature will touch your soul the moment you meet her. After spending years chained outside in Eastern Washington, braving tough conditions without shelter, Athena still has the sweetest heart. When she was finally rescued by a kind soul in Yakima, she got to experience what it means to be truly cherished, living on Vashon Island with someone who adored her. Sadly, when her person passed away, Athena found herself seeking a new home once more. Now, Athena is hoping for another chance at happiness. She is about eight years old, enjoys snuggling, and is well-mannered and easy to care for. Athena prefers to be the only pet in the household, but she adores people and will reward you with pure, unconditional love. She doesn't require much exercise—just short play sessions in a fenced yard will make her happy. Athena is the definition of a once-in-a-lifetime companion: the kind of dog whose presence will warm your heart for years to come and who makes every day a little brighter. Born on June 1st, Athena is a Gemini—playful, clever, and full of curiosity. Maybe your heart is the one she’s been waiting for! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
