Left Eye | 8-Year-Old Collie/Shepherd Mix | Gentle Couch Companion Left Eye is an 8-year-old Collie/Shepherd mix weighing about 29 pounds, with a beautiful black-and-white coat and a calm, gentle personality. She’s a quiet, sweet girl who enjoys a peaceful lifestyle and would be happiest in a home that appreciates slow days, cozy naps, and a loyal companion nearby. Left Eye is house trained and very easygoing in the home. If given the choice, she would happily spend most of the day curled up in her bed. She enjoys short walks around the block but isn’t interested in long outings—once she realizes she’s heading back home, she’s usually eager to return to her favorite resting spot. She has had positive, submissive interactions with other dogs and passes them calmly on walks. However, she is not a good match for homes with cats, as she has shown signs of cat aggression, including chasing and lunging. Left Eye can be shy at first, especially with men, but with patience she warms up and becomes a gentle, affectionate companion who enjoys belly rubs and quiet time near her people. Left Eye also has a playful side and enjoys soft squeaky toys, often carrying them around the house and taking them to bed with her at night. She may whine or howl when left alone, so she would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time or can bring her along for outings. Left Eye’s ideal home is with someone looking for a calm, loving companion and a relaxed pace of life. She doesn’t ask for much beyond love, patience, and a comfortable place to nap, and in return she’ll offer sweet companionship and a devoted heart. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along.
