Emma 💕 has spent most of her life between shelters and foster homes, waiting nearly a thousand days for a family willing to see her for who she is—a loyal, water-loving companion eager for adventure. At 6 years old and around 60 pounds, this Carolina dog mix thrives on activity and would make an excellent sidekick for hikes or outdoor days. Emma adores people and brings out the best in those she meets, but needs to be the only pet in the home and isn’t suited to living with young children. Her shelter days stretched to 627 in Texas, with another year in foster after being saved from euthanasia. Now in Denver, Emma is still searching for a permanent home where she can truly belong. She gets along well with adults and is house trained, vaccinated, and spayed. Emma came up from San Antonio thanks to Red Fern Animal Rescue, who offer a two-week foster-to-adopt trial to help her—and her adopter—be sure it’s the right fit. She deserves to finally experience what it means to be part of a family. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
