About Sally
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Sally, a 7-year-old German Shepherd mix with a beautiful brown-and-black coat and a loving, loyal nature. She delights in belly rubs, cozy cuddles, and lives to be close to her people. Sally can be a bit shy and nervous at first, but with patience and consistency, she quickly turns into a devoted and affectionate companion who shines with gentle protection for those she trusts. Sally is fully house trained, uses a doggie door reliably, and does well when left alone for several hours, especially when other dogs are present. She excels in crate training, knows basic commands, and responds well to clear boundaries. Walks may be a little stressful for her due to excitement or nerves, especially around other dogs or people, but she is easily redirected and generally enjoys her outdoor adventures and car rides. Sally prefers the company of dogs her own size and would flourish best in a patient, active home that values thoughtful management and training—especially as she can be protective over food and toys around other dogs. Her medium-to-high energy is nicely balanced by her ability to settle for a quiet nap, and she has a soft spot for playtime, chew toys, and stuffies. Sally hasn't been tested with cats or children and has no preference for men or women. She's searching for a loving, stable home where she can build trust and confidence, with adopters who can provide the structure and affection she needs to feel truly safe and secure. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
