Meet Sheba Aziela! She was brought in as a stray that the finder's kept for a few weeks. When they couldn't find her home - they brought her to ACCT where she's been tagged a certified sweetheart! This young gal (about 2 years) is friendly, wiggly and loves to cuddle. If you're sitting down, you may as well have Sheba in your lap! She's had good dog interactions, but please bring any potential fur siblings to meet her at the shelter! She quickly opened her eyes and approached the kennel door when she saw me. She put her two front paws on the door and had loose body, neutral ears. She pawed at the leash to come out but was easily leashed. Leash Skills: Sheba pulls a medium/low amount. She stops and goes some but overall checks in with handler and keeps your pace. Sociability: Sheba seeks attention by rubbing into you, jumping up and also hopping into your lap. She remained loose and wiggly with a low wagging tail. When I pet her from head to bum she was wiggly and loose and remained leaning on me for whole interaction. Play: tried to throw a few toys around the yard but Sheba did not chase or engage. Dog Interaction: saw multiple dogs theigg if h fence and Sheba only took interest by looking their wag when she heard their handlers talking to them or a squeaker. At one point she did trot over to the fence to observe two smaller dogs. She remained neutral ears, low wagging slow tail. Return to Kennel:I used a high value treat and Sheba hopped into her kennel to get it. I removed the leash over her head Color Level:green Recommendations and considerations: noting she has an ear abrasion but I touched the ear and area around it and shebe did not show physical discomfort. She was a little jumpy at first, just excited jumps, but I ignored her and she stopped. She was a very easy loose leash walk. There was another dog outside on a meet and greet that was constantly yapping at her but she wasn't phased at all, she just looked at the other dog and kept moving along with me on our walk. We went into one of the play yards and she immediately jumped in my lap. She really seemed to just want love she just stayed in my lap and rested her head on my shoulder. She was really interested in the squeaky toys and started to entertain herself with them. She also knows sit, it took her a couple times but she got it eventually. Playgroup Notes 8/31/25: Sheba was very handler oriented and gentle/dainty. She did correct any dog that came near her or wanted to greet/sniff her.
