At around 9 years old, Kubo is a laid-back, easygoing guy who enjoys the simple things in life-cozy spots, calm company, and plenty of snuggles. His foster parent says, "Kubo is very sweet and affectionate. He just wants to snuggle up and be loved on!" Most of the day, Kubo is pretty low-key and content to nap, but he likes to start his mornings with a burst of zoomies to show off his spunky side. Bring out a stuffie or a squeaky toy and he'll happily play along, proving he still has plenty of playful spirit! Kubo prefers to take new things at his own pace, but he warms up quickly once he feels comfortable. He currently lives with another small dog and, after a little time to adjust, they're getting along well. On walks, Kubo is curious about other dogs and sometimes barks or tries to get closer-mostly because he's eager to say hello. As a senior with some medical needs, Kubo is looking for a home that can continue supporting his care. He has heart disease managed with medication, a cough likely caused by a collapsing trachea, and medial luxating patellas (wobbly kneecaps), so he does best with gentle, low-impact activity. With continued care and a loving home, Kubo is ready to settle in and enjoy his golden years surrounded by comfort, snuggles, and the occasional squeaky toy.
