About Paige
Paige Dog Name: Paige Breed: Mixed Sex: Female Age: 10/11 months Weight: 15 lbs. Medical Needs: Spay surgery is scheduled for 3/11/26 at the Dover SPCA and is covered by Grass Roots Rescue. Keeping this appointment is a condition of adoption, and foster to adopt family must live within 1 hour of Dover to ensure she can be brought back for her appointment. Housebroken: Mostly. She does not signal, but if she is let out frequently, she has no accidents in the house. Crate trained: Yes, but takes a few minutes to settle. Good in the car: She is getting better, but should be crated to keep her off your lap. Good on a leash: She pulls some, but she is so light she is easily controlled. Energy level: puppy energy, but can snuggle on your lap for hours. Need a fenced in yard: no Dog Friendly: Yes If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No, Paige is perfectly able to entertain herself. Cat Friendly? Yes, she is fostered in a home with several cats bigger than her. Kid Friendly: Yes, before coming into GRR care she lived with kids. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any, with supervision of younger children (under 4). Paige still gets spooked by loud noises or sudden moments. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Even though Paige is only a puppy, she has already experienced motherhood. Due to that, she was a little on the thin side when she came into GRR care. She has gained some weight and is slowly losing signs of being a mother. She is now ready to enjoy the rest of her puppy days and take on the role of beloved pet for some lucky adopter. She loves chew sticks, entertaining herself with toys, and insisting on lap time. Her goal in life is to make sure your lap is warm and to never be ignored again. Fosters Location: Harrington, DE Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app
