Hi friends, I’m Rhett! I’m a 2-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who just joined the rescue, and I’m on the hunt for my forever people! I’m what they call a certified cuddle bug — if you like snuggles, I think we’re going to get along very well. I’m a super sweet guy who loves playing fetch, sniffing around the backyard, and going on walks. On walks I get really excited to see other dogs (sometimes I even whine if we don’t go say hi… oops 😅). I do like other dogs, but I can be a little timid and nervous when I first meet them — even tiny dogs with big attitudes can make me jump! Mornings aren’t really my thing… I prefer to sleep in and be chill until the afternoon. But once I’m up and going, I’m ready for a few hours of exercise and adventures with my people. I already know my name, how to sit, and I come when called, but I’m still working on a few things like crate training. I might have a little separation anxiety, so I’m hoping for a patient family who will help me keep learning and building my confidence.
