Lizzie
AvailableLizzie is a small, mixed-breed Pomeranian/Husky with a soft gray-blue coat. At 5 years old, she’s an adult female and is spayed and vaccinated. Lizzie is currently in Union City, PA, searching for a caring home with her bonded mother, Lilac.
About Lizzie
Lizzie and her mother Lilac have only known each other and a world of confinement; everything else is new, sometimes scary, and always uncertain. Years spent in the stark surroundings of a puppy mill left both nervous—especially Lilac, who prefers gentle, steady attention and takes her cues from her daughter. Lizzie shows a bit more bravery and, given time, will inch forward for a quiet kind of companionship. Both girls are deeply bonded and must stay together; they watch the world and find courage in routine, gentle voices, and each other's presence. A quiet, predictably calm home will give these two the best shot at settling in. They need a patient, experienced adopter who respects their boundaries and lets them go slow. A secure fenced yard is not optional, as flight risks are real. Cats and young kids are simply not a good fit—these girls have too many new things to adjust to already. Progress will be gradual, but the reward is the slow unfurling of trust from dogs who have never had a real home. They've earned the chance to know comfort, safety, and loyal family. Lilac and Lizzie’s adoption fee is currently waived. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Lizzie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Lizzie is a Pomeranian/Husky mix who does best in a quiet, stable environment where she can settle in at her own pace. Smaller dogs with a sensitive background like hers benefit from calm households and predictable routines.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Lizzie’s Pomeranian/Husky heritage means she enjoys access to a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time. Her small size doesn’t call for much space, but safety is key due to her flight risk.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Lizzie will thrive best without young children, as her background and temperament favor a quieter home. Pomeranian/Husky mixes can be gentle, but Lizzie needs a calm environment without unpredictable noise.
