Meet Ricky Ras, your potential new best friend! Born around January 26, 2025, this small male dog, weighing about 10 lbs, was a bit of a mystery when he came to the shelter. Previously on the run in Rochester, Ricky was understandably frightened and showing signs of fear aggression, which made him a 'Rescue Only' case. Thankfully, he's made progress and is settling into his new surroundings. After arriving at his foster home, Ricky quickly adapted and now gets along well with other dogs. He may have had a rough start, but he’s learning to trust again. Although he had a little hiccup when nipping his foster dad before a vet visit for neutering, he’s shown that he can be sweet and gentle with women. We're currently working on house training, and he’s already figured out how to use the dog door. Naturally, because he's been through so much, he would thrive in a loving and understanding forever home. Ricky is ready for a fresh start where he can feel safe and cherished.
