Brutus is a 1-year-old, 75lb brindle Mastiff mix with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. This big, goofy boy is incredibly happy and loves being around people more than anything else. If there's a human nearby, Brutus would always rather interact and play with them than entertain himself, although he will happily toss toys around on his own when needed. Brutus already knows "sit," "down," and will even offer his paw for a treat. He is potty-trained and very eager to please, which makes him a fantastic candidate for continued training. He is extremely food-motivated and picks up on things quickly. When meeting other dogs, Brutus is super excited and wants to play immediately. Because he's still a young, oversized puppy, he can come across as a little rude and doesn't quite understand his size yet. With structure and guidance, he has the potential to develop great dog manners. He recently played with Camila, a dog half his size who can match his energy well, and the two had a blast — at one point she was literally walking underneath him! Brutus was completely worn out after less than 10 minutes of play. Brutus has shown no possessiveness or aggression with toys or food when interacting with humans, and he happily shares his space. Due to his energy and size, he would do best in a home without cats. This sweet boy is truly just a big, lovable goofball who doesn't realize how big he is yet. With a little guidance, some training, and plenty of playtime, Brutus is going to make an incredibly fun and loyal companion for a lucky family.
