Sisu is a 2 year old, 75 lb girl with a big heart and an even bigger spirit. Her name means perseverance and strength in Finnish, and it could not suit her more perfectly. She has a happy-go-lucky personality and a face that truly looks like it’s smiling most of the time — the kind of dog who brings joy just by being near you. Sisu was found on the streets of Puerto Rico in heartbreaking condition. She was suffering from severe mange, skin and bones, and barely hanging on. Thanks to compassionate rescuers who refused to give up on her, she was given the care and love she so desperately needed. Today, she is healthy, thriving, and ready for the next chapter of her life. She is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. Sisu adores children, does well with other dogs, and loves playing in the yard before curling up in her cozy bed for a nap. She is crate trained, leash trained, potty trained, and enjoys car rides — always happy to be included in whatever her people are doing. She has waited so patiently for a stable, loving forever home — one where she can finally land and know she’s safe for good.
