About Koda
Your new best friend is just one click away. Koda is a goofy, sweet, and sensitive Lab/Rottie mix who is just waiting for his forever home. With his striking black coat and tan shading, Koda has a big heart that he’s ready to share with someone special. Though he had a rough start as a puppy, Koda has blossomed with the care of his foster mom and is eager to find a place to call his own. He’s almost two years old and has been with his foster for a while, but he’s hoping that someone will see past the “black dog” syndrome and give him a chance. Koda is house trained, crate trained, and loves squeaky toys and cozy cuddle sessions. Walks are a favorite pastime, and he enjoys helping his foster family welcome other rescue pups. While Koda gets along wonderfully with larger dogs, he’s not a match for homes with cats, livestock, or children. This sensitive boy is wary around new people, but once he trusts you, he’s an affectionate companion with a protective streak. His bark may sound intimidating, but he’s never bitten anyone, and it comforts his current foster mom. Koda needs an experienced dog owner willing to read his cues and continue his positive training. He’d thrive in a patient home with another well-rounded dog to help guide him. Koda is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Ready to fall in love?
