About Koda
Koda is a Lab/Rottie mix, all black with tan shading, and one of those dogs that just wants to make his person happy. He’s got a goofball streak, plenty of sweetness, and a sensitive, loyal nature. After being surrendered as a small puppy way down south, he had a rocky start and landed in rescue. Since then, he’s come a long way. Koda loves to cuddle up in bed, squeak every toy he can get his jaws on, and hang out with his five fellow dogs — he even helps out with new fosters as they pass through. Koda can be wary with strangers and has a bark that means business, which his foster mom has found comforting. He should live with someone who understands how to read dogs, ideally an experienced owner with another larger, confident dog to show him the ropes. No cats, livestock, or kids for this boy — he just isn’t comfortable around them. All of his training has been with positive methods. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and house-trained and crate-trained. Koda is fostered near Philadelphia, PA, and is ready for a home that matches his needs and appreciates his quirks. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
