Meet Piper Piper is a six-year-old black Lab mix weighing about 52 pounds, with the softest heart behind her shy exterior. She's a sweet, gentle girl who can be a bit nervous at first, so she's looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will give her time, consistency, and reassurance as she settles in. Piper does enjoy the company of other dogs and would do best with a calm, confident canine friend-someone who isn't overly rough or high-energy and can help show her the ropes. Because she has a strong prey drive, Piper would likely do best in a home without cats or small, fluffy, yappy dogs. She's house trained, incredibly loving once she feels safe, and would thrive in a home with a yard where she can explore at her own pace and lounge in the sunshine. With patience and kindness, Piper will blossom into a loyal, devoted companion who just wants a peaceful place to call home. Piper is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.
