About Arthur Morgan
**$140 in pledges for the rescue that pulls** Arthur Morgan ACCT-A-244280 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to behavioral concerns. Arthur Morgan must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by SATURDAY, MARCH 14TH at 10AM. Should Arthur Morgan's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Arthur Morgan arrived at ACCT Philly on March 2nd after being found placed in a box and tied to a truck. At intake, he was noted to be extremely underweight and was started on a feeding plan to help him safely regain weight. Despite the difficult circumstances surrounding his arrival, Arthur has shown himself to be a gentle and affectionate dog who enjoys human companionship. Staff describe him as very sweet, eager to give kisses, and happy to play games like fetch. Volunteers note that he has a medium energy level and enjoys exploring while also seeking affection from the people around him. He walks easily on leash and has shown minimal interest in other dogs. Arthur has demonstrated relaxed body language during handling and interaction, including tail wagging and calm engagement with staff. He does best with a slow approach and speaking softly to help him continue building trust and feeling safe. Recently, Arthur has begun to display signs of kennel stress, such as obsessively pulling on his water bucket and chain. Due to his stress, Arthur Morgan is urgently seeking placement with a rescue partner or adopter. Very sweet, sniffed around and wanted affection. Per staff 3/2: Upon approach, he was observed resting under a blanket. He gently lifted his head from beneath the blanket and remained calm and receptive. He was easily leashed and guided to the van without any resistance. Throughout the interaction, he displayed relaxed body language , no whale eyes or body tension were noted and he wagged his tail consistently. Due to past history, it is recommended that handlers approach him slowly and use a soft, low "baby voice" to help build trust and ensure he remains comfortable. - Due to being significantly overcapacity with animals and higher than usual intake, extensions are unlikely to be granted.
