The application can be found at: www.sosbeagles.org/adoptionform.php Rodger and Dodger both showed up at a small rural shelter to be pulled to a slightly larger humane society for more exposure. After a couple weeks and little beagle attention we were asked to help. These two are adoptable. 20-23 lbs they show the demeanor of possibly once being a house dog. They are clean in their crates, know a leash but not a lot of training. They show pure joy when out running in the yard and complete excitement when someone shows them attention. They came in with kennel cough so haven’t had a lot of dog experience yet but I believe they would do well with another friendly dog. Haven’t tried digging or fence climbing which is a plus in a beagle. They are quiet in their kennels unless they hear you about then a bit of barking. We believe they are siblings, not bonded but Rodger is more attached to Dodger than vice versa. But easily satisfied with loving attention. Our goal is to place each of them in a home with another dog for company, as littermates sometimes get jealous of each other after a while (google littermate syndrome). Dodger is around 2 years old.
