*Rue will be ready for adoption on Saturday, March 21.* Meet Rue! This darling little pug is pure puppy charm in a tiny, wrinkly package. Rue is happy, social, and incredibly affectionate, with a special talent for making instant friends wherever she goes. If you sit down, don’t be surprised if a small, snorty shadow climbs into your lap. If you walk by, expect a few enthusiastic kisses along the way. Like most pug puppies, Rue is playful, curious, and full of personality, but also loves winding down for snuggles once the fun is over. She thrives on human connection and loves being included in everyday life — whether that means lounging on the couch, following you from room to room, or tagging along for a quick outing. Thanks to Rue’s friendly, easygoing nature, she could fit wonderfully into many different homes, including families, singles, or homes with other pets. If you’re hoping for a little companion who will fill your home with cuddles, laughter, and plenty of kisses, Rue just might be the one. *A quick note about the breed: Pugs are a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, which means they can require some breed-specific care as they age. This may include routine dental care, monitoring for breathing sensitivity in heat or strenuous exercise, and regular vet checkups to keep them feeling their best.* Rue is a 2-month-old mixed breed who was rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $1800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and spay. Rue is also tested with other dogs, cats, and children. She is working on potty and kennel training in foster care. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
