Age: 3 years Weight: 8lbs Meet Phoebe! Seeing how much this sweet little lady has grown since being rescued in Texas has been incredibly rewarding. She has come out of her shell beautifully and continues to gain confidence every day. She absolutely loves other dogs of all sizes and does very well socially with them. She especially loves playing with her sister — they play-fight often but truly adore each other and will snuggle up together afterward. She would thrive in a home with another friendly dog. Phoebe can still be a little wary with new people at first, but she is no longer fearful the way she once was. She does best when allowed to approach new people on her own terms rather than being picked up or rushed into physical affection. Once she feels comfortable, her incredibly sweet and affectionate personality really shines. Her energy level is the perfect balance — playful when it’s time to play, but also very chill and content to relax. She loves sunbathing and will happily stretch out in a sunny spot whenever she can find one. She walks great on a leash, is house-trained and does very well with routine. She does not need to be rushed outside first thing in the morning and is perfectly content to sleep in with you. She loves her crate and settles comfortably when crated. She loves to snuggle and would gladly curl up next to you, but she also has an independent side. Phoebe knows basic commands such as “sit” and “spin.” She currently lives in a home with children and is accustomed to kids as young as toddler age. She thrives in a calm, loving environment with routine and reassurance, and she continues to grow into a confident, affectionate companion. Phoebe deserves the world! INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
