About Buddy
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Buddy (also known as Buddy Boy), a big-hearted, medium-energy goofball who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Found lost in Indianapolis, Buddyās journey began when he climbed into his fosterās car without a second thought, eager for safety after his previous owner had to surrender him during a difficult time. Initially timid, Buddy has blossomed into a joyful companion who greets his foster with full-body excitement and heartfelt affection. Buddy strikes the perfect balance between activity and relaxation, enjoying playtime, snuggles, and quiet moments by your side. Heās gentle, affectionate, and absolutely adores being with his peopleāespecially at bedtime, when he loves to cuddle close. While a bit goofy and unaware of his own size, that only adds to his irresistible charm. Heās made fast friends with female dogs of all ages and thrives on cuddles and play with his foster sisters. However, Buddy prefers a home without male dogs and will do best as the only dog or with female canine companions. He delights in sleeping with his person, squirrel watching in the backyard, going for walks, and simply being close to the ones he loves. Smart and eager to please, Buddy has mastered excellent recall, āsit,ā and responds well to positive reinforcement. Heās not a fan of crates or closed rooms, but can settle nicely with a favorite treat-filled toy. Still, heās working on learning that shoes arenāt for play! Born January 25th, Buddy is an Aquariusāa sign known for its loyal and loving nature. Heās ready for a home where heāll be a cherished partner, especially with someone seeking a devoted, affectionate, and slightly clumsy best friend ready to bring joy into every day.
