About Junior

Meet Junior! Junior is an 8-year-old American Bulldog and Pit Bull Terrier mix with a mellow, easygoing personality and a big heart. He fits seamlessly into multi-dog homes, getting along with all types—even those with strong personalities. Patient and tolerant, Junior enjoys a good play session with his canine friends but tends to spend most of his time relaxing quietly nearby. He shares toys nicely and has shown no resource guarding, which makes him especially easy for foster and adoptive homes. Junior is completely housebroken and does just fine when left alone. He isn’t crate-trained by routine, but when it does happen, he settles quickly after an initial whine. He’s not much for car rides, so he would thrive best in a household where travel is minimal. A cat-free home is a must since he does like to chase them. He hasn’t been tested around children yet, so families with kids should plan to take introductions slowly. For all his good qualities, Junior isn’t without quirks. He sometimes tries to hump in new environments or around new people, though it’s not been an issue with his current foster family. He can be stubborn, especially when faced with something unfamiliar, but food rewards work wonders with him. Vet visits can make him nervous, but he’s making progress every day. With patience and understanding, Junior offers loyalty, warmth, and an easygoing presence. Junior’s birthday makes him a Capricorn—no wonder he’s a steadfast friend.
