Meet Ember! She’s a retired puppy mill mama who’s learning the finer things in life. Ember has gone from recoiling away from touch to seeking out head rubs. She is constantly happy and wagging her little bump tail. She is 5 years old and considered a Miniature sized Shepherd. Ember is awesome on walks and follows your lead. She is still working on not bolting when a large truck or another person walks by, so you do have to be mindful to keep her safe. In typical Aussie fashion, she is a vocal girl and is not a great candidate for apartment life. Potty training has been difficult given that the first 5 years of her life consisted of a small space where she did all her business. But she has improved greatly! She does wear diapers in the house in case she has an accident, but she’s about 80% of the way to house broken. Ember is looking for a patient home willing to give her time and gentle encouragement to come further out of her shell. She would do great with another confident dog to show her the way. A fenced in backyard would be ideal as she will be a flight risk while adjusting to a new home. She is fully vetted and ready to settle in to a forever home. Apply today!
