About Joni
Joni the brave, first of her name, of Australian Shepherd (and other unknown breed). descent, herder of hearts, and seeker of snacks! This mixed breed fluff ball is three months old and ready for her next adventure! She is the first to explore a new sound and will position herself in front of her littermate brother when they are scared to protect him. A brave girl, indeed! She's not even afraid of the big bad vacuum cleaner! Potty training for this girl is going well. She is starting to signal by walking to the back door in her foster home. Crate training is also going well. She will bark for a bit at first but then settles right in. She is currently sleeping from 9pm-6am with a 2am potty break. Some nights she needs a second mid-night potty break, but those nights are getting rarer! She's currently being fostered with a three year old human, and does great with him! She knows not to nip or jump on him. She hasn't had any issues with meeting new men or strangers. She's an affectionate girl who loves to snuggle with her humans and the other dogs in her foster home. She doesn't have any experience with cats, but in typical herding breed fashion loves to chase bunnies and birds in the backyard! Speaking of the backyard, she's starting to work on her leash walking skills as well as learning when it is and isn't time to ask for food and table scraps. She is very food motivated and will do great with a diligent adopter who is ready to keep her mentally and physically stimulated! Joni's adoption fee is $600! This adoption fee includes: her alter, a microchip, her rabies, bordetella, and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.
