We are not a shelter, but a foster home-based rescue, and these animals are all housed individually with foster families. PLEASE NOTE: Tucker will only be adopted out within 40 miles of the Rochester, NY area. Tucker is a 70-pound Australian Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who truly defines the term “gentle soul.” At nearly 13 years old, this sweet senior boy may have some gray on his muzzle, but don’t let the “old dog” label fool you — he’s still sharp, eager to learn, and highly motivated by treats (green beans and MaroSnacks are his favorites!). He already knows his basics — sit, stay, down, and come — and he’s always happy to show off his skills, especially when a reward is involved. Tucker is calm and mellow throughout the day, perfectly content to lounge nearby while you work or relax. But when it’s time for fun, he’s all in! He enjoys leisurely walks, sniffing around the backyard, and playing with his beloved tennis balls. Tucker is fully house-trained and so considerate he’ll patiently hold his bladder rather than have an accident indoors. He’s fantastic with other dogs, happily sharing toys and space, and he mostly just ignores cats. More than anything, Tucker is simply the sweetest old man you’ll ever meet. Gentle, quiet, and incredibly loving, he’s looking for a cozy home, tasty treats, and plenty of booty scratches.
