Meet Michael! He wants to meet you 😍! Young pup Michael somehow 'lost' his owner - we are not sure what happened, but since no one claimed him when he was found as a stray, we want to help him find his true furever home! He wants to bond! Michael is a 32 pound foxhound/beagle type - kind of 'sheltie size' - a perfect size for folks wanting not too big but not too small! He is submissively sweet - but still young, estimated 10 - 18 months, so has also had a couple play bouts in his short stay with us. Our foster says he walks great on a leash (though a few moving critters have caught his eye so he tried to bolt after them, but wasnt hard to manage). And he potty's outside while on his walks! And he already knows sit! He does appear to have had some negative training, including very bad experiences with the crate, so while hanging at our foster's home he has been lounging on a couch or bed. We are teaching him crate acceptance with treats thrown in an open crate. He is a bit nervous of loud assertive dogs, but has shown calm curious interest with calm small-medium dogs as well as cats while on leash walks indoors. Michael is up to date on vaccines, parvo tested (negative), and has his neutered scheduled soon - let us know if you are interested in becoming Micahel best friend!!!
