About Granby
Start your journey together! Apply now. Granby is a distinguished 8-year-old Foxhound/Beagle mix searching for the stability of a loving forever home after experiencing several losses in his life. He's coping with the changes from losing both his person and his feline companion, and, though he is currently in safe hands, he would truly blossom with a dog-savvy family. Granby is house trained and walks nicely on leash, making everyday routines easy for his new family. He feels cautious with unfamiliar guests entering the home, so he needs an adopter willing to continue helping him with positive introductions or providing him a quiet space when company visits. To support his adoption and adjustment, Granby comes with five personal trainer sessions from a professional who already knows him, transferable to his adopter in the Falls Church, VA or DMV area. Granby’s perfect environment is a serene, adult home without children and minimal visitors. Someone with Foxhound or experienced dog ownership is ideal to provide the steady leadership and affection he deserves. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled by appointment only for approved applicants, and fostering to adopt is an option if you are looking for a trial period. They are waiting with paws crossed!
