About Dug
Dug is a senior Shepherd/Hound mix who’s mellow, loyal, and just wants to be where the people are. At around 40 pounds, he’s the kind of housemate you barely notice until you realize how reliable he is—fully house trained, no crate needed, happy to nap wherever you are. Dug’s got a gentle way about him and does well around kids and other calm dogs. He walks nicely on a leash and appreciates a little time outside for some fresh air, but mostly keeps energy low and easy. If you’ve got a fenced yard, Dug will trot around and then come inside to curl up with you for a nap. He likes a good car ride too—errands or low-key weekend trips are all fair game. Because he has a prey drive, he’s not suited for homes with cats. Dug is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He thrives in homes looking for a relaxed, loving dog who fits seamlessly into family life. Dug is available in Roswell, GA and can be adopted in the Greater Atlanta area (or within 2-3 hours’ drive if you’re able to pick him up from his foster). What are you waiting for? Apply today!
