I need a new home as I was released from a breeder. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO. I likely spent most of my life in a kennel so I need assistance with learning how to play and trust humans. Good humans is a new thing for me—I really need someone to love me and show me how to be pet. I would probably do best with a quiet home, at least until I get more comfortable. My favorite sleeping spot is a custom corral—this gives me some room to roam in case I need to go potty on my pad or get a drink. I am most comfortable in my corral area but need to be placed in there. I’m never in trouble. I listen and watch very intently. I’m learning how to be a dog and letting someone love me the right way. I am working on potty training, I have no issues with going potty outside on command, I go every time with my mom who takes me out about 4 times a day. And when I say she takes me out—she actually picks me up and takes me out. I’m very timid with my surroundings so I struggle with moving too much but I feel safe with my mom. Hence why I’m a little overweight. I do well with my baths. I’m very nervous with people but good with other dogs. My foster mom works from home and leaves me in my corral while she works. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
