Dog's Name: Mocha (MOC0326SOPFD) Estimated Breed: Lab Mix Approximate Age: 4 years Approximate Weight: 25 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Mocha — a beautiful, mature lady with soulful eyes, excellent manners, and just the right amount of sweetness. Mocha recently made her way here from Georgia, where she was found as a stray. It was clear right away that this lovely girl had belonged to someone once before. She's friendly, polite, and carries herself with the quiet confidence of a dog who knows how to be part of a home. She waited patiently at the shelter for two weeks, certain that her person would come walking through the door any minute. But sadly, no one ever came. Mocha is still a little confused about that part of her story. After all, she's such a good girl! She greets people kindly, behaves like a true lady, and has the gentle, loving personality that makes everyone who meets her instantly fall for her. What Mocha needs now is simple: a loving forever family who will remind her that sometimes life just takes a little detour before leading you exactly where you're meant to be. She's the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a dog with a calm spirit. Mocha will happily be your walking buddy, your couch companion, and your quiet shadow around the house. All this sweet girl wants is a soft place to land and a family who will promise her that she's home for good. Apply today and be the happy ending Mocha has been waiting for! Your pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
