Penne – The Tiny Puppy With a Big-Dog Spirit My given foster name is Penne, but my foster family calls me “Small Puppy” because I’m the tiniest of all the fosters. Don’t let my size fool you though — I think I’m one of the big dogs! I run with the pack and keep right up with them, possibly thanks to my giant paws, and I may even roughhouse more than some of the bigger pups. When I first arrived, I was very timid and shy and didn’t want to explore much. But in just a couple of weeks, I’ve become a brave little adventurer who jumps into everything headfirst. I’m discovering how fun the world can be! My ears are still trying to decide what they want to do — sometimes they stand up, sometimes they flop over — but either way I’m a total cutie. What I really love most is snuggling into any cozy spot near my people. If everyone is busy, I’m perfectly happy curling up like a little “bug in a rug” and taking a cozy nap. After a full day of running with the big pups, you might even catch me snoozing with my tiny tongue hanging out — it’s pretty adorable if I do say so myself! I’m a little too playful for the senior cat in my foster home who prefers to sunbathe in peace, but when he gives me a good hiss I respectfully back off and give him space. Even if he doesn’t want to play, I know I would make the sweetest companion for a family ready to welcome a fun, loving little pup into their home. Penne is fully vetted and ready to go.
