If you’re an experienced dog owner looking for a fun, loyal companion with lots of character, Patches (or Paddy, as his friends call him) could be the perfect match. He’s spent some time in rescue and, with the right guidance, has grown into an affectionate, entertaining little guy who charms everyone around him. Paddy weighs about 15 pounds, is house-trained, crate-trained, and sleeps quietly through the night. Smart and responsive, he proudly performs an array of tricks such as "sit," "stay," "shake," and even "roll over" to earn food and praise—his favorite rewards. Paddy loves walks, adores his toys, and is content burrowed under a blanket. He’s a respectful house guest who never chews on things he shouldn’t and enjoys the company of other dogs at home, although he can be barky when meeting new dogs. With people, he’s always ready to make a new friend. His bold spirit and protective streak make him a dog who appreciates routines and clear boundaries. Paddy does best with calm, confident leadership and thrives in a patient, adult-only home that can offer both gentle structure and plenty of affection.
