About Papa Nugget
Meet Papa Nugget - affectionately known as "Nuggie" - a 1-year-old, 9.5-pound poodle mix with a heart ten times his size. Papa Nugget's story is nothing short of inspiring. Saved at the very last minute by CAMO Rescue from a local shelter's euthanasia list, his future once seemed uncertain. A shelter veterinarian believed that due to his luxated patellas, he might never have a good quality of life. But Papa Nugget had other plans. After successful surgery to correct his luxated patellas, this resilient little guy has made a full recovery and now has complete strength and use of both legs. And he doesn't waste a single second of it. Nugget lives life to the fullest - running, playing, bouncing, and loving every joyful minute. He is truly one of the happiest dogs you'll ever meet. Always ready for a game of fetch or a cozy snuggle session, Nugget brings enthusiasm and sweetness wherever he goes. He would thrive in a home with another active dog (his size or smaller would be ideal) to help keep him engaged and strong. He's wonderfully intuitive and respectful, too - if another dog isn't in the mood to play, Nugget happily takes the hint and entertains himself by tossing toys into the air, chewing on a favorite bone, or chasing a ball. Beyond his playful spirit, Nugget is a well-mannered gentleman. He's housebroken, crate trained, and even uses a bell to let you know when he needs to go outside. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped - ready for his forever family. Papa Nugget is proof that determination, resilience, and a joyful heart can overcome anything. All he needs now is a loving home to share his boundless happiness with. Adoption fee is: $450 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.
