About Brody

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Brody is a charming 3-4 year old miniature dachshund and chihuahua mix who has shown incredible resilience after being rescued from a difficult situation in Eastern Oklahoma. He arrived with a group of 16 dogs, all of whom had been living outdoors and were brought in just before the cold set in. Since then, Brody has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, treated for fleas and ticks, found to be heartworm negative, and microchipped. This petite, short-coated black boy weighs around 9 lbs and is incredibly sweet-natured, soaking up every bit of affection offered. While Brody craves human attention and could easily be your one and only, he also does well with other dogs after some adjustment time. Please note, however, that he is not suitable for homes with cats and may need a male diaper early on while learning to be a loved indoor pet. For his adoption, a securely fenced yard is required—wireless or underground fences are not accepted—as well as a home visit and vet reference. All current pets in your home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on heartworm prevention. Brody is currently being fostered in Chickasha, OK. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
