About Butch

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Butch is a loving 5-year-old dachshund/chihuahua mix with a sweet and gentle soul. Rescued along with his companions from a difficult hoarding situation, Butch is now searching for a home where he’ll feel safe and cherished. He is a small, golden boy with a short coat who weighs around 11 pounds and loves being the center of attention. Butch is already neutered, up to date on vaccinations, fully dewormed, and microchipped for safety. He gets along well with other dogs, but a little patience during his initial adjustment will help him truly thrive. Butch is not used to a typical home life yet and may need a male diaper until he learns the ropes, as he isn’t fully house trained. He would be fine as an only dog, but he must go to a cat-free home. His rescue requires a securely fenced yard—no wireless or underground fencing will be approved. A home visit and a vet reference are both part of the adoption process, and any other pets must be spayed or neutered and current on heartworm prevention. Butch is currently being fostered in Chickasha, OK, and hopes his loving family will apply and give him the second chance he deserves. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
