About Butch

Butch is a five-year-old dachshund/chihuahua mix rescued from a tough hoarding situation in Eastern Oklahoma. He came in with a large group that needed urgent care and warmth before winter. He arrived underweight and in rough shape, but has since been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, treated for fleas and ticks, tested negative for heartworm, and microchipped. Butch is small, about 11 lbs, with a golden-red, short coat. He’s all about attention and wants nothing more than someone to finally notice him. Adjusting to a real home is new for him, so he might need a male diaper while he learns the ropes of indoor life. He gets along well with other dogs, though he’ll need some time to warm up. Butch cannot live with cats. He’d also do just fine as the only dog, soaking up all the care for himself. Give this little guy a chance—he’s ready for his next chapter after never knowing comfort.
