Meet Velociraptor! Velociraptor is around 4 months old. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Velociraptor is definitely a puppy. She is rambunctious and loves to play. Her favorite toys are rope toys, and she loves to play tug of war. It is best to have a rope toy ready, as she may use your sleeves instead! Velociraptor is a small ball of energy that loves to run. Once she gets the hang of going for walks (she seems to think the leash is a toy), we think she will a great adventure companion. We recommend doing your research on bull terriers before adopting, as they can be a very particular breed. They can be exceptionally loving dogs, but equally stubborn and hard-headed. In addition to this, they have high energy needs, and require plenty of mental and physical stimulation in order to be happy. Velociraptor would benefit from puppy classes to help her become a well mannered dog! As Velociraptor came in to HSoP as a stray, we do not know much about her previous life. We do not know how she does with other dogs, cats, or other animals. We do require a dog intro to be done at HSoP if a potential adopter has another dog in the home. HSoP offers a seven-day foster period with every adoption to ensure it's a good fit for everyone. If you would like to meet Velociraptor, feel free to stop by! Our hours are 2pm - 6pm Monday through Saturday, but our dog kennels close at 5pm and adoptions end at 5:30pm.
