About Blue
Blue is a six-year-old Doberman in Minneapolis, MN, with an infectious smile and a zest for life. He lights up at the thought of fetch—he’ll play until he’s worn out—and rarely loses a round of tug-of-war. Once he’s done chasing the ball, Blue wants nothing more than to hang out with his person. He’s loyal, eager for adventure, and happy to ride along in the car or relax at your feet. This big, happy guy knows sit, lay down, and shake, and he’s house trained—he’ll sit at the door and whine to let you know he needs out. Blue is crate trained, but long hours alone make him anxious; he will bark and has hurt himself trying to get out when left too long. He needs someone home more often, able to work on shorter crating intervals and help him feel comfortable, or let him stay out while you're gone once trust is built. Blue gets along well with people and is good with other dogs after slow, careful introductions. He’s better off in a cat-free home and isn’t a match for houses with small animals, thanks to his high prey drive. If you want a playful, loyal partner up for any activity, Blue might be your next companion. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
