About Tesha
Tesha is a small chihuahua mix, around 9 to 12 months old and about 8 pounds. Her start in life was rough—she was thrown from a moving car before she was even three months old. Thanks to a quick-thinking good samaritan, she survived, and a month at the vet gave her another shot. Tesha came out of that ordeal with some unique quirks: she has a few harmless neurological tics, and getting into cars still makes her very anxious. Put her in a soft carrier or hold her close, and she feels a lot safer. In foster care, Tesha has opened up on her own terms. She takes her time trusting new people, but when she does, you get a playful, affectionate, and sometimes comically needy companion. Ball chasing, snuggling, and goofing around with dogs are her favorite activities. She gets along well with other dogs and cats, making her a great fit for a household with other pets who enjoy play. Potty training is still a work in progress, but she’s a quick learner when you have patience. Tesha will do best with a family who appreciates her quirks and can give her the unconditional love she deserves. They’ll get it back from her tenfold. Your new best friend is just one click away.
