About Dixie
Dixie wags with her whole body the moment she spots you, always greeting you with sparkling eyes and complete adoration. She starts out shy with new people, but she's quick to warm up and can't resist offering kisses if you'll have them. At about a year old and around 60 pounds, Dixie is a blend of German Shepherd, Boxer, and Australian Cattle Dog, with a strong love for playing fetch. This girl could chase a ball or soak up sun in the yard for hours, especially if she's getting her ears scratched. Dixie is fantastic with other dogs and absolutely loves children. Her response to cats hasn't been tested yet. She prefers walks to car rides since cars tend to make her queasy. Ideally, her person enjoys long strolls or runs, or just time in the backyard playing fetch. She could be an only dog, go home with her brother Max, or join a home with a canine companion, given the right introduction. Dixie is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and fully house trained. After three months in foster care, she's ready to devote herself to the right person or family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
