Meet Roscoe! Roscoe is a little over a year old and came to us along with his buddy, Pat. Like many young, active dogs, Roscoe loves to run, play, and stay busy. He’s full of energy and very typical for his breed; he's also curious, athletic, and always ready for an adventure! Roscoe and Pat were surrendered after being encouraged to chase wildlife and cats in their previous home. Their family ultimately felt it was best to bring them in so they could have a fresh start with proper structure and guidance. Roscoe is ready to learn new, better habits in the right environment. He is housebroken and crate trained, though he may mark in new surroundings at first while adjusting. Roscoe does well with other dogs and has lived around cats, but due to his history of chasing, he will need a secure, fenced yard and an owner committed to consistent boundaries and supervision. Roscoe would thrive in an active home that can give him exercise, structure, and clear expectations. With the right guidance, he has all the potential to leave his past behind and just be the loyal and fun-loving companion he was meant to be. When Roscoe arrived, his coat had to be trimmed because it was full of hitchhikers (burrs and debris), but it’s growing back nicely. He's a really handsome boy and has the cutest smile.
